Why Nigeria 2023 Election Is Important When It Comes To Selecting The Right President That Will Create Jobs

A climate tainted by rage has been produced by diminishing possibilities, increased insecurity, and a gloomy economic outlook. A rising number of political zealots and fanatics have been inspired by this rage. Lets talk about why Nigeria 2023 election is important when it comes to selecting the right president that will create jobs. When politics are involved—and what else is at stake these days but the 2023 elections—there is a palpable sense of fury on Nigerian social media sites. A toxic brew of radical, utopian politics, where intimidation and animosity are the rules of interaction, have emerged in the social media ecosystem as a result of discontent with the political elite.

Tolerance, representation, and openness are presumptions of democratic politics. On social media, however, supporters of Peter Obi (the Obidients) and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (the BATists) have developed into irrational political fundamentalists or zealots.Their perception of reason, the expression of public feelings, and representation are all called into question by the violent hostility and intimidation. Political advancement requires being logical, tolerant, and understanding of other people's decisions as well as respecting differences of viewpoint. Yes, the election of 2023 is significant.

The increase in political consciousness among first-time registrants is a significant factor in the next elections. This will result in votes; it is not just a passing fad on social media. Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, and portions of Niger State will focus on Kwankwanso as tension and discontent grow. Up to six million votes could be cast for Peter Obi across the country if the Obidients, who are sufficiently incensed and frustrated by the arrogant establishment, turn out in sufficient numbers. It will be the biggest turnout since 1999. But in all of these selecting a right candidate that will create job opportunities matters. Unemployment is without a doubt the biggest problem facing young people in Nigeria today. As of December 2020, the National Bureau of Statistics estimated that 53.4 percent of young people in Nigeria were unemployed, making the combined unemployment rate of 33.3 percent the third-highest in the world. An increase in poverty rates is the direct result. Five million more Nigerians are anticipated to live in poverty by the end of 2022, bringing the total number of people in Nigeria living in poverty to 95.1 million, or over half the country's population. Growing insecurity is a result of the indirect effect. Youth without jobs are easy pickings for gang, extremist, and criminal recruitment.

Why Nigeria 2023 Election Is Important When It Comes To Selecting The Right President That Will Create Jobs

For the youths and most importantly, employees they want a president that will emerge and can create multiple job opportunities for workers. Choosing the right candidate that guarantees this matters a lot. Most aspirants have come out to make propositions on how they will create jobs but we are not surprised as this is not the first time we are hearing this. As the general elections approach, we should keep in mind that we need a president capable of creating job opportunity for Nigerians.
