  • Manages and creates optics Portfolio solutions for customers in CEWA (Central East Western Africa).
  • Trusted technical solutions advisor for the account in those countries.
  • Support customer designs/solutions.
  • RFP network design.
  • Provides design guidelines for optimal usage of the solutions and associated platforms in customer networks.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Manages and creates optical network portfolio solutions.
  • Trusted technical solutions advisor for the accounts.
  • Influences customer designs/solutions and RFP design support.
  • Provides design guidelines for optimal usage of the solutions.
  • Provides roadmap updates.
  • Deep technical optical network/Solution knowledge.
  • Manages customer requirements towards the ION RBC.
  • Provides/Collects competitive updates/information.
  • Manages new product introduction.
  • Product RFP owner for optics.
  • Positions/proactively push products.
  • Continuously seek new applications that can be addressed with the product and/or solution.
  • Provides PowerPoint solution presentations.
  • Advice on customer architectures/network evolutions.

Constraints:

  • Requests for support material may be required in short timescales enforced by the customer so time management skills are vital
  • The job requires a very good view of customers’ network architectures and practices and therefore must understand a customer's operational processes and confidentiality concerns.

  • Because the role is an integral part of the EMEA ION RBC, the ability to work as part of a distributed team is critical.
  • A flexible approach to work, especially when communicating with other Alcatel-Lucent groups, is essential, as is the ability to thrive under pressure and prioritize tasks.

Qualifications / Profile

  • Detailed understanding of optical network technologies.

Analyst – Regional Sales (Sales and Distribution) – MTN Nigeria

Description

  • Generate, Collect, analyze and interpret a wide variety of sales performance-related data and develop weekly/monthly reports/dashboards in preparation for business review meetings
  • Provide insights for the Regional Teams on strategic initiatives
  • Provide and maintain a strong and reliable database to facilitate tracking of set goals and objectives

Requirements

Education:

  • First Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or any related discipline

Experience:

  • 3 – 7 years of work experience comprising:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Data Analytics/Management and/or Processes Management
  • Experience working in a medium organization:
    • Reporting, sales/marketing, or related function

Senior Engineer, Circuit Switch Core – 9mobile Nigeria

Job Description

Job Summary

  • Support all CS core network operation and maintenance activities to ensure required availability.
  • Coordinate all CS core-related troubleshooting, fault analysis, and performance improvement measures – preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate all acceptance testing for all CS core node integrations.
  • Oversee all CS core network audit and performance improvement/maintenance activities on the network.
  • Ensure preventive measures are implemented to avert network downtime and service disruption on CS core network elements and links.
  • Ensure all vendor activities are in line with all agreed SLAs & KPIs.

Principal Functions

  • Maintain maximum availability and reliability of the entire CS core network
  • Improve mean time to repair (MTTR) on all CS core network-related faults and complaints
  • Promptly implement all interconnect and service requests with partners
  • Implement software upgrades, patch installations, and expansion activities on all CS core network nodes
  • Support NOC/Field operations teams in all CS core-related escalations
  • Review all new CS core-related features and their impact on the existing network
  • Ensure regular network performance improvement via key KPIs such as LUSR, PSR, AUTHOR, CSR
  • Regularly review the B number analysis table across all CS core systems.
  • Enforce strict conduct of Quarterly audits of all CS core node configurations and ensure implementation of all relevant recommendations
  • Ensure all change requests are implemented timely and accurately by the Vendor
  • Carry out quarterly backup and restore tests on all CS core network elements.
  • Continuously review all CS core operations frameworks, make recommendations for improvement and implement approved initiatives to ensure enhanced network performance.
  • Recommend and implement strict measures to control fraudulent high-usage activities of illegal inbound/outbound roamers on the network.
  • Integration, daily operations, and maintenance on MSC/ HSS/ MGW/ STP/ SPS/ SBC/ ITSC/ U2020/other CS core nodes.
  • Ensure proper documentation of operations on all CS core network systems
  • Maintain snag/fault lists and follow up with vendors on clearance.
  • Carry out all integrations and implementations on CS core nodes.
  • Analyze performance reports and proactively resolve core network challenges.
  • Supervise the implementation of software upgrades; file system upgrades; and hardware replacements on the core network.
  • Specify and review critical CS core performance measurement counters.
  • Lead the troubleshooting of core network operations challenges and create solutions.
  • Produce policies and procedures for managing and controlling managed services team.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation of HLR profiles and templates in line with business requirements.
  • Audit announcements and tone files between the IN platform and core network nodes.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Manager Core & Datacom.

Educational Requirements

  • First Degree or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, and/or any other relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in Telecoms.
