Job Description

Job Objective(s)

  • The Team Lead, Web Payment has full profit and loss (P&L) accountability for the product and is responsible for driving the performance of the online payments business across the group.
  • The Team Lead, Web Payment would be required to work with multiple stakeholders; both internal and external to ensure online merchants enjoy a seamless experience using the UBA payments gateways.
  • The Team Lead, Web Payment would be required to come up with unique strategies to target local and international merchants and provide project support during the integration set-up, testing, and go-live phase.
  • He/she would be responsible for providing training and capacity enhancement tools that would foster knowledge and skill development amongst the various business drivers and online merchants.
  • The product manager would be responsible for implementing appropriate pricing mechanisms that would ensure the product remains competitive and profitable in the market.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • To provide supervisory function over the Web Services Team across the group; in terms of product development, support business objectives, and sales activities to meet the budget.
  • Have oversight of WEB operations as it affects the customer experience. E.g. (Timely management of Chargeback disputes, Settlement/Reconciliation).
  • Manage WEB integration and Product roll-out.
  • Coordinate with card schemes on Fintech /Aggregator Integrations.
  • Ensure risk & control procedures applies to all Web Merchant Onboarding.
  • Ensure fraud rates and disputes are below the card scheme threshold levels.
  • Develop a WEB that will support the country's businesses.
  • Conduct regular training for digital officers on WEB Business and Risk Management.
  • Ensure the WEB Business is profitable.
  • Ensure a 100% activity ratio.
  • Optimize all supporting infrastructure for the best customer experience.
  • Continuously monitor UBA performance against other banks across the countries.
  • Ensure UBA is number 1 or 2 in every country.
  • Timely execution of all projects on products, from Audit, control, and other governing departments.
  • Continuous execution of innovative products and services.
  • Identify possible and emerging risks and mitigate them.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with group policies and guidelines in terms of new product approval.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • First Degree in any relevant field
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience required

Team Member, Global Batch Operations – United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA)

Job Description

Job Objective(s)

  • To process EOD/EOM/EOY run on Finacle Finnone and Business Direct.
  • Ensure smooth running and availability at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process EOD/EOM/EOY run on Finacle, Fine, and Business Direct.
  • Ensuring smooth running and availability of Finacle services for UBA Nigeria and African subsidiaries.
  • Ensure that ALL Finacle and CSIS services are up and running at all times.
  • Ensure Finacle test server uptime.
  • Ensure resolution of EOD/EOM-related issues.
  • Escalate critical failures to level supervisors and consultants for prompt resolution.
  • Processing and review of account maintenance and interest booking & application run on Finacle.
  • Scheme parameter setup, review, and modification.
  • perform Day-to-Day Finacle support functions and issue resolutions.
  • Perform root cause analysis of issues.
  • Ensure Daily Generation and rendition of MT940 statement on daily basis for critical customers e.g. MOBIL, DANGOTE, IATA, TOTAL, NBC, and others in the UBA group within the agreed SLA.
  • Generation of Financial reports.
  • Ensure daily generation and transmission of E-statements to subscribers.
  • Ensure periodic service maintenance is carried out to improve the performance of Finacle.
  • Ensure prompt monitoring system utilization while running batches
  • Monitor stand-in servers during batch processing and System maintenance.

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • First Degree in Computer Science or any related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience required

Team Member, Network Security Management – United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA)

Job Description

Job Objective(s)

  • Participate in the implementation of new network security solutions.
  • To manage business continuity and disaster recovery operations and ensure there is 99.99% service Availability and zero data loss in the event of network security Breaches/disaster events.
  • Troubleshoot and investigate network security-related issues, as well as analyze security systems performance and provide capacity planning solutions to ensure continuous uninterrupted operation of security system Infrastructure within the frame of the agreed service level.
  • Design a robust network.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date baselines for the secure configuration and operations of all in-place network security devices.
  • Maintain operational configurations of all in-place security solutions as per the established baselines.
  • Maintain all in-place network security solutions for efficient and appropriate operations.
  • Participate in the planning and design of enterprise network security architecture, under the direction of the Head of Enterprise Security Management.
  • Participate in the creation of Enterprise Network Security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures) under the direction of the Head, of Enterprise Security Management, where appropriate.
  • Participate in the planning and design of an Enterprise Business Continuity Plan and Disaster Recovery Plan, under the direction of the Head, Enterprise Security Management.
  • Review logs and reports of all in-place network devices, whether they are under direct control, interpret the implications of that activity, and devise plans for appropriate resolution. 
  • Participate in investigations into problematic activity. 
  • Participate in the design and execution of network system vulnerability assessments, penetration tests security audits.
  • Provide support for all E-banking channels and end users for all-in-place network security solutions. 
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
  • Recommend additional network security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise network security specifically.
  • Perform the deployment, integration, and initial configuration of all new network security solutions and any enhancements to existing security solutions following standard best operating procedures generically and the enterprise’s network. 

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • First Degree in Computer Science or any engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience required
