Brief Details About NPA

Port operations and development in Nigeria began in the middle of the 19th century. The effort towards the provision of facilities for ocean-going vessels started with the opening of Lagos Lagoon in early 1909. The Apapa Port in the South West was earmarked for development in 1913 and construction of the first four deep water berths of 548.64m at the port began in 1921

It is headquartered in Lagos State at 26/28 Alakoro Street, Marina. According to a recent publication on News Nigeria, the NPA headquater was attacked during the End Sars protest which almost topppled president Muhammadu Buhari's administration in 2020. It also has branch offices in Portharcourt and Warri.

General Requirements for NPA Recruitment

You can apply for NPA recruitment by logging in to www.nigerianports.gov.ng  to submit your application. All you need to apply is an active email account and your phone number alongside relevant qualifications. • Interested candidates must have good communication skills
• Interested applicants must be of good behavior and composure
• Strong team spirit and excellent analytical skills
• Candidates with a bad or criminal record will not be accepted
• Applicants must be willing to work under pressure
• Computer literacy is an added advantage
• Must possess a minimum of Five Credits in no more than two sittings in West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), and General Certificate of Education (GCE)
• Possession of B.Sc, HND, NCE, OND in any discipline from a recognized institution
• Enthusiasm for learning and achieving results
• All candidates must have a valid means of identification such as a valid driver's license, National Identification Card, International passport, Voters card
• Must be willing to work in a new environment
• Must not be older than 35 years at the time of application
• Past working experience will be an added advantage
