The University of Abuja has been long before now, way back since 1988, and has continuously produced rich graduates who are doing better for themselves. The institution understands the need for everyone to get quality education, regardless of the circumstances, so because of this, it runs conventional and distance learning academic programs. Students who can not be within the school premises can also take their lectures and write their exams.

How do students access the UniAbuja Portal?

Only students and potential students of the school can have access to the school portal at https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng/index.php. The essence of the portal is to perform several academic activities that pertain to each student which include course registration, password recovery, transcript applications, schedule of classes, school fee payment, and every other type of application.

While students of the school can log into the portal with their matriculation number, potential students who need to gather a couple of information about the admission process can log in to the portal with their registration number.

The Admission Process at UniAbuja

To gain admission into the University of Abuja, you must have:

  • Picked the university as your first choice when registering for Jamb.

  • Passed the UTME/Jamb very well such that it suits the cut-off mark for the course you are looking to study

  • Written the school's Post UTME exams and passed.

  • Registered for the right course of study without mistakes.

If you have all of these in check, then you can go ahead to expect admission from the University of Abuja. You can check the JAMB portal or CAPS to see if you have been granted admission into the school. Likewise, you can log in to the school admission portal with your registration number and password to gain access to your dashboard to check your admission status.

According to Uniabuja, the admission requirements for undergraduate studies are credit passes in five subjects, including English and Mathematics which must be obtained by the candidate at not more than 2 sittings. Also, to be eligible for the degree course you're applying for, you need to have three credit passes in subjects that are directly related to the degree program.

When will the University of Abuja start giving admission?

This has been the question of every applicant. The University of Abuja has started admitting students into various courses for the 2023/2024 academic session since the 5th of October, 2023. If you can't check the school portal for your results, you can also check the JAMB portal. The way admission works - if you are yet to be admitted into any course, don't give up yet because these admission lists are usually released in batches which means that if you cannot find your name in one batch, you can be hopeful that it will be in the next batch and all you can do is wait.
