You Should Read this If you Think you no Longer Feel Creative

It's not every day that your creative jar gets filled up and that's okay. No one expects you to be a badass creative every time, so you can rethink every time you try to beat yourself up about it. You may not get told this often but some of the reasons you think you are no longer creative is probably because you have lost trust in yourself, or some of the efforts you have put in have not yielded positive results, or maybe you just lack imagination and hard work. Whatever the case may be, the truth remains that you are creative and things can come back to usual, as they have always been. However, to bring back your creativity, it is a thing that has to stay in your head which is why you must keep certain things in mind.

You must believe in yourself and your ability to create as a creative

If you feel like you are creative enough, it means that you are doing some great work, the only problem is that you do not believe in the beauty of your creativity and how much you come up with. Constantly go through everything that you have created and remind yourself of how you really pulled off all of that which means that you have "potential" and it will only do better if you fuel your passion. You can use words of affirmation to remind yourself that you are not just a creative but one with all of the necessary confidence.

You must focus on doing the work and not expect anything in return

As a creative, if you continue to wait for something in return (this could be as little as the likes and follows online), you may not do much work. So, instead of waiting around for validations, go harder at your craft and get better because the more hard work you put into your creative journey, the better for you. Whether you get a lot of applause or not, keep going. The truth is, one day, all of your hard work will pay off. But first, you need to do the work.

Imagine all you want, think big

If you need to know, imagination is the root of all creativity. So, you must imagine as far as you want to achieve. Even, sometimes, your creative ideas, the best ones, are a result of the very deep imagination that you have. Don't restrict your imagination, let it go as far as it wants to, and the result, most times is usually magical.

Concentration should be your priority

As a creative, you can't keep losing focus if you want to reach your goals faster. If you find yourself frequently losing focus, then you must consider implementing strategies to enhance concentration. This may include doing all you can to block distractions, minimizing screen time, and spending more time brainstorming and imagining. Someone who finds it hard to concentrate may have a hard time being a creative.

Don't sell out your breaks

Breaks may already sound cliche to you but this is because the importance of breaks cannot be overemphasised. See it this way, as a creative, you are a well and you produce water from time to time; whenever the season is dry, there is still water but you have to give it some time to come up. The dry season can be likened to your tired period and all things being equal, the best thing is to give yourself the break you need to get refreshed and refilled. It works the best most times.

Consistently love what you do

The power is in your hands, so you can decide what you want to invest your time and energy in. Whatever type of creative you are, make sure that you love what you are doing. Don't struggle to be a creative and never

force yourself into a creative pursuit that doesn't align with your passion or interests. If you are starting to see your creative journey as a burden, it means that you no longer enjoy what you are doing and need to find what you are interested in because you must enjoy your creative journey!
