Tokunboh George-Taylor, a Nigerian Public Relations specialist with over 30 years of experience has shared that public relations in Nigeria will go far and will be more recognized in Nigeria in the coming years. She has linked her prediction to the growing use of public relations by both small and large entities, as well as individuals, to raise awareness and activate their voices.
“The PR space is opening up. Even the government is seeing that having a good PR strategy, good message, and aligning with the audience is good for governance," Tokunboh, who is currently the founder of Skot Communications, said to the Business Day Newspaper.
To alleviate concerns about AI replacing specific roles in PR, she reassured that AI cannot devise campaigns for agencies. While it can assist with content creation, AI is unable to analyze regions like Nigeria with distinct geopolitical groups and strategize on effective selling approaches.
