  • Rigging and Lifting Foreman 

The rigging and lifting foreman is responsible for organizing on-site, any Rigging & Lifting operations which are placed under his responsibility. He is also responsible for identifying, maintaining, and inspecting any delicate lifting/rigging operations and ensuring that proper risk assessment studies are carried out beforehand. The rigging and lifting foreman also plays a predominant role in the transfer of skills to personnel undergoing training and development by mentoring. The average salary for a rigging and lifting foreman is between 157,000 NGN to 203,000 NGN according to SalaryScale. 

  • Rig Operations Manager 

The rig manager also known as the hands-on manager is responsible for the safety and leadership of their crew, as well as the paperwork and the performance of the drilling rig.  Rig managers are responsible for every aspect of rig operations such as set up, take down, and rig moves, they are also responsible for managing personnel and the financial, technical, and performance aspects of a drilling rig. According to Glassdoor the average salary of a rig operation manager is between 250,000 NGN and 503,483 NGN per month 

  • Quality Assurance and Control Officer 

A quality Assurance and Control Officer is responsible for quality control checks of all projects at the oil rig. They also ensure compliance with the Company's Quality Management System. They are also responsible for the development of forms and instructions for evaluating, assessing, reporting, and documenting quality standards in products or services at the oil rig. They also make sure equipment and every other machinery are precise and accurate. The average salary of a quality assurance and control officer is between  253,000 NGN to 827,000 NGN according to Salary Explorer.

  • Control Room Operator 

The control room is the powerhouse at the oil rig platform. The control room operators have a lot of responsibilities some of which include: monitoring, operating, and maintaining all networks of pipes, pumps, separators, centrifuges, processing units, and valves on an offshore platform or oil rig. The average salary of a control room operator is 707,300 NGN according to PayScale 

  • Mechanic Supervisor 

A mechanic supervisor is responsible for preparing procedures that function effectively and providing documentation for technical detail in the mechanical area or department. They also work with other departments at the oil rig to ensure that facilities are set up safely onshore and offshore. They may also assist in coordinating the response to emergencies if and when necessary. The average salary of a mechanic supervisor at the oil rig is estimated to be between 305,000 NGN and 706,000 NGN according to Quora. 

  • Geologist 

The Geologist is primarily responsible for identifying oil and gas location deposits by analyzing and studying the formation of rocks, mineral samples, and other areas on land and underwater, they also give safe and efficient recommendations for means to extract oil deposits. They use geophysical equipment, machinery, and data to calculate oil and gas reserves in prospective locations. They also collaborate with other professionals like petroleum engineers to determine the best drilling and production methods that can be used for extracting and refining. According to Salary Explorer, a geologist at an oil rig is estimated to make 541,000 NGN.
