If you do remarkable stuff, there is no need to suck in your excellence when you can give yourself a pat on the back. For every milestone you hit, you worked for it and there is a need to celebrate it. You may feel the need to celebrate some milestones and leave out some others because they don't seem huge to you. However, you need to realize that every milestone is a step forward in your personal/professional growth. So, while you journey through your career, take note of these milestones and celebrate them very well.
A promotion
Bagging a promotion means that you have worked so hard in a former position, you have put in your best and now you are getting recognition for your hard work and ability to make a meaningful impact. If this happens to you, see yourself as a big deal and treat it accordingly. Besides, it's not every day you get promoted at work. So, remind yourself that you did that!
Course Completion
It is very common to have people start a course amd struggle to finish it, regardless of the type of course. So, whether you buy a course or you have it for free and you finish it, getting the certificate, means you have done what a number of people struggle with and if you want, you can blow your own trumpet. Even on social media, we have had people complain about how they start courses and never complete them. If you finish your courses, the word remains that you are an exceptional person.
Transfer to a better Job
If you get a transfer from your workplace, to a better branch or location, something says that you deserve it. The management of your company must have deemed it fit to think you can be an excellent figure elsewhere, so they send you there. Apparently, it means that you have stepped up and you are doing somebody right. Go ahead, do the happy dance, and celebrate yourself.
When you make a huge sale
If you are an entrepreneur and hit a huge sale, then you must have towed your marketing properly, which is a good thing. It reflects that you have put in work to improve the quality of your product and service and that you have the best ability to connect with your target audience. So, if a huge sale comes, it's a milestone, be happy for yourself.
When you start your first project
A first project can mean anything to anyone. It could be you launching your first book or having the first website or app you built to go live. It could even mean opening your own store; It marks the beginning of your journey towards your goals. So, whichever way you want it to look, celebrate. Spark some joy, enough to remind you that you have done an excellent job and can only get better, going forward.
Celebrating your milestones means that you acknowledge how much you have grown in your career and it can only push you to do bigger things for yourself.
