The federal ministry has different functions depending on the portfolio assigned to them:

How much does a Federal Minister get Paid?

Earlier this year, Chris Ngige, the minister of Labour and Employment in Nigeria revealed that the monthly salary of a federal minister is NGN 942,000 per month and this also amounts to NGN 11,304,000 per annum. He also stated that, apart from the monthly salary, federal ministers are entitled to a tour allowance that is specifically for when they need to travel for work purposes. Although, it wasn't revealed that Federal ministers receive other allowances, here are some other allowances they are expected to receive:

  • Personal Assistant allowance
