The founders of KPMG

KPMG is a firm that encompasses the names of its founders. The organization was created as a result of the brilliant idea of four people:

• Piet Klynveld - The K in KPMG

• William Barclay Peat - The P in KPMG

• James Marwick - The M in KPMG

• Reinhard Goerdeler - The G in KPMG

These four individuals merged in 1987 and made it known to the public that their alliance will be called KPMG (Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler). That was the beginning of a great success for the firm it was recorded as the largest accounting business merger in the 90s.
