Publicist(PR)
A publicist is in charge of informing the media with information and news about their clients. They generate press releases, make media kits, plan interviews, and pitch news stories about their clients to media sources. In addition to managing crisis communications, a publicist may create campaigns to improve their client's public image through content on websites, social media, digital media, television, and radio. A publicist may work with a single artist or act as a press representative for several musicians.
Creative Consultant
For artists, a creative consultant is in charge of producing content for various mediums and resources. They speak with record labels and artists to learn more about their ultimate objectives, plan the methods and styles of content development that will help them achieve those objectives, produce graphic designs, written content, and video, and edit their work in response to client input. They design and plan campaigns, collaborate with influencers, bloggers, celebrities, and members of the media to share promotional messaging, and publish content across a variety of channels, including websites, social media, blogs, emails, and podcasts. They also develop strategies to promote the business and musical artists. Additionally, marketing managers oversee professionals like graphic designers, content writers, and videographers, manage their department's budget, and stay current on marketing trends.
