For example, top tech companies like Google, Microsoft, and Apple will pay well compared to other Nigerian startups. Coding jobs may vary in title and responsibilities. Some of the most common coding jobs out there includes software engineering, software development, Full Stack web development, front-end web development, back-end web development, and computer programming.

Work Experience

This is a highly significant criterion for programmers because job experience is extra credit and boosts your chances of being hired. A computer programmer with less than two years of experience may earn roughly 164,000 Naira per month, however, one with more expertise may earn more. Of course, the compensation rises as one obtains more experience owing to the number of years in the industry.

For example, a programmer with two to five years' experience is likely to earn 218,000 Naira per month, a programmer with five to seven years of experience is likely to earn 323,000 Naira per month, a programmer with seven to ten years of experience is likely to earn 429,000 Naira per month, and a programmer with over ten years or more experience is likely to earn 465,000 Naira per month.

Educational Qualification

The education level for people that code varies, and the further you climb the ladder, the more likely your pay will rise. There are three levels: certificate/diploma, bachelor's degree, and master's degree. The average monthly pay for someone with just a coding certificate holder is 187,000 Naira. The average salary for a coder with a bachelor's degree is 293,000 naira per month, and the average salary for someone that codes with a master's degree is 491,000 naira per month. It is always advisable to acquire higher education to have a good career in programming since the return is always worth it; not only does it influence the salary, but it also adds class and titles.

In this part of the world, the coder is well paid in comparison to other careers. The monthly salary of someone into coding in Nigeria software ranges from 144,000 Naira to 498,000 Naira.
