The company was initially registered in 1985 as Gateway Honeywell flour mills before the change of ownership happened which led to the new name - Honeywell Flour Mills. In 2009, the company became listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange after it was tagged a public liability company (Plc) in 2008.
