Hotel Front Desk Receptionist: As a hotel front desk receptionist, you are often the first point of contact or first hotel staff the guests will be meeting, it is expected that you welcome guests and provide necessary information or assistance the guests might need. Some of your responsibilities might include checking guests in and out, taking care of reservations, providing information about the hotel, and assisting with guest questions and requests. Hotel Housekeeping Staff: There is no hotel you will visit in Nigeria that does not have housekeeping. Every hotel needs housekeeping for proper maintenance and care to keep the hotel in good condition. The Housekeeping staff makes sure that the hotel rooms and public areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained for the comfort of the guests and hotel workers too. They are responsible for cleaning rooms, changing linens, restocking amenities, and addressing any guest room requests. There is always a high demand for this role in Nigeria Hotels. The average salary of a hotel housekeeping staff in Nigeria is between 50,000 NGN (lowest) and 257,000 NGN (highest) per month according to Glassdoor 

Hotel Accounting and Finance Staff: The hotel accounting and finance department handles financial transactions, payroll, and budgeting for the hotel which can cover the cost of renovations or purchasing new materials the hotel might need. They approve finances that can increase guests' comfort which in return will increase ratings that can be converted into higher demand for reservations at the hotel. A background education in accounting or related fields is necessary for this role. The average salary of a hotel accountant or finance staff is 6,000,000 NGN per year according to Glassdoor 

Hotel Sales and Marketing staff: Remember those hotel staff you see on the street of Nigeria, talking about their hotels and asking you to come and stay there? Those are the sales and marketing staff. The sales and marketing team is responsible for promoting the hotel, attracting potential guests, and securing bookings for events, conferences, and individual stays. They ensure the hotel has a wide reach of their targeted customer and get enough ratings or rankings. You can find them on the street of Instagram too, sending promotional DMs and Advert. The average salary of a hotel sales and marketing team is between 260,000 NGN and 850,000 NGN per month according to Glassdoor. 

Hotel Maintenance or Handymen: Every hotel needs maintenance, if you are a Nigerian, you will know the rate at which people visit the hotel. So, it is no wonder that for something that gets used often, you need to have a way to take care of it often. The maintenance team or handymen are responsible for keeping the hotel building and equipment in good working condition, they must ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff. Hotel Management Body: For every business, there will be people who are in charge of taking care of and overseeing the day-to-day running of the operations. For the hotel business, the management body is in charge of making sure the hotel and the hotel staff are in good condition and properly taken care of. These bodies consist of the hotel managers, hotel supervisors, and hotel directors which are all depending on the size of the hotel. The average salary of staff under the hotel management body is between 200,000 NGN and 920,000 NGN according to Glassdoor
