The work-from-home era was promoted by the arrival of the Covid 19 pandemic. The pandemic forced people to stay at a home to prevent contracting the virus, as a result, many companies adopted the work-from-home method.
It seems to be the solution at the time because work must continue or the world economy will come to a standstill. Companies adopted a culture of working from home, giving employee flexibility to work whenever they can. It was a good idea at the start until productivity starts to lag.
People who work from home are now coming late to work, showing up late to meetings or some employees will join the company’s zoom call and not pay attention.
Working from how is now getting tougher for companies to handle because of lack of productivity and also, it is tough to be productive under no supervision.
Lack of productivity is the reason why most employers are now considering moving their staff back to the office. They want people to show up daily, work, finish tasks assigned, and get trained all in person.
