We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Telephone Sales Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Sales Manager/Team Leader

Responsibilities
Sales Outreach:

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to generate leads and convert them into sales.
  • Handle inbound inquiries and offer appropriate solutions to meet customer needs.

Customer Interaction:

  • Provide detailed information about the products/services offered by the company.
  • Answer customer queries and resolve any concerns in a professional manner.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.

Target Achievement:

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Utilize persuasive selling techniques to close deals effectively.

Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and follow-up activities using CRM software or spreadsheets.
  • Update customer profiles and sales pipelines regularly.

Product Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about the company’s products, services, and promotions.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and competitor offerings.

Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to share best practices and insights.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance selling skills and product knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Prior experience in telesales or customer service is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Sales Skills: Ability to pitch products/services persuasively and handle objections.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic computer operations.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated to achieve goals.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple calls and tasks effectively.
