Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Role Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This full-time, on-site role involves designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of new buildings and bridges, as well as managing alterations and extensions to existing properties.
• The successful candidate will perform structural calculations, conduct analysis, and utilize advanced computer-aided design (CAD) software to engineer various projects in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structurally sound designs that meet all local codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Perform technical calculations and structural analyses to ensure project viability.
• Design structural elements using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or RISA.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Establish design protocols in line with relevant codes and standards.
• Provide expert advice to civil engineers on best practices in design and execution.
• Recommend appropriate construction materials and safety measures.
• Conduct field visits, prepare reports, and assess project viability.
• Oversee project management, including budget tracking and maintaining progress records.
• Review shop drawings and provide constructive feedback to the project team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction and structural engineering.
• Professional engineering certification relevant to the region of employment.
• A strong background in structural and civil engineering principles.
• Proficiency in structural calculations, analysis, and CAD software.
• Solid understanding of construction materials, methodologies, and practices.
• Proven drafting skills, supported by a robust portfolio of past projects.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in construction procedures, field inspections, and report writing.
