Position Summary
- The Revenue Assurance & Analysis Manager will oversee revenue management, customer profitability analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role will support strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights into revenue optimization, customer profitability, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management & Reporting
- Monitor and report on all revenue streams, ensuring accuracy and timely recognition in line with IFRS 15 and other applicable standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts and reports for management review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing.
Customer Profitability Analysis
- Analyze customer revenue, costs, and profitability to identify high-value and underperforming customers.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability across customer segments.
- Prepare and present customer profitability reports to support strategic decision-making.
Revenue Analysis
- Perform detailed analysis of revenue trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights through variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Support pricing strategies and evaluate their impact on revenue and profitability.
Accounts Receivable Oversight
- Monitor A/R collections to improve working capital and reduce receivable days.
- Work closely with the collections team to resolve disputes and streamline cash inflow.
Fixed Asset Management
- Track and ensure proper accounting for fixed assets related to revenue-generating activities.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile fixed asset data with revenue streams.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax implications of revenue transactions.
- Design and implement internal controls to safeguard revenue and improve operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between the finance department and business units to align revenue and profitability strategies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities on revenue-related matters.
Team Development
- Mentor junior team members, promoting skills in revenue analysis, customer profitability, and reporting.
- Foster a culture of accountability and urgency to meet deadlines.
Key Performance Metrics
- Timely Reporting: Ensure revenue and customer profitability reports are accurate and submitted on schedule (weight: 50%).
- Customer Profitability Analysis: Deliver insights to optimize customer value and improve profitability (weight: 20%).
- Revenue & A/R Management: Maintain or reduce collection periods within targeted benchmarks (weight: 15%).
- Compliance: Zero tolerance for non-compliance or regulatory penalties (weight: 10%).
- Team Collaboration: Effectiveness in cross-department projects (weight: 5%).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ICAN/ACCA certification is mandatory.
- 4+ years of experience in finance, with a focus on revenue management and customer profitability.
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15, taxation, and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a technology or service-based industry.
- Proven track record of managing teams and driving process improvements.
- Knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
