Responsibilities:

Supporting/Assisting the Medical Laboratory Scientists in all areas of medical laboratory investigations and in all disciplines of medical laboratory science (i.e Haematology, Blood transfusion, Microbiology, Cytology, Chemical Pathology etc)
Involving in troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment, devices and other appliances being used in the laboratory.
Assisting in phlebotomy services, within the laboratory and outside the laboratory (where needed), after adequate training
Assisting in the preparation of culture media and another laboratory reagent, as directed by the Medical Laboratory Scientists or/the Medical Laboratory Director
Other professional duties, as may be directed by the Medical Laboratory Director and Managers.

Requirements:

Minimum academic qualification- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science (Technician), awarded by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) in collaboration with an accredited School of Health Technology or other relevant academic institutes.
Work Experience - Minimum of 3 years of work experience in accredited Medical Laboratories.
Licence to Practice - Current (2024) Medical Laboratory Technician licence, issued by MLSCN is compulsory.
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Teamwork and ability to adhere to detailed instructions
