Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced Lead Instructor for our Game Development course.
  • This instructor-led program will teach students the essentials of game development, including game mechanics, graphics, physics, and interactive storytelling.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in game development, an advanced skill set in game engines like Unity or Unreal, and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities
Curriculum Development and Instruction:

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum covering game development concepts, including 2D and 3D game design, scripting, game physics, and level design. Create lesson plans, workshops, and project-based assessments to ensure hands-on learning and skill mastery in game development.

Mentorship and Guidance:

  • Mentor students through complex game development projects, offering guidance and constructive feedback to foster their skills. Cultivate an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that supports creativity, teamwork, and technical growth.

Industry-Relevant Project Integration:

  • Develop real-world projects that mimic industry scenarios, allowing students to apply their skills practically and build a professional portfolio. Supervise project work, providing feedback to enhance students' problem-solving, design, and coding abilities in a game development context.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in game development, integrating relevant advancements into course content. Gather feedback from students to refine course content, teaching strategies, and resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Game Development, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in game development, with proficiency in industry-standard tools like Unity or Unreal Engine.
  • Proven experience in teaching or mentoring, with an ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Proficiency in game development languages and tools (e.g., C#, C++, or Python).
  • Understanding of game design principles, animation, physics, and interactive storytelling.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
