Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Operate KHS or Krones labelling equipment on a production line, ensuring accurate application of labels to bottles, cans, or containers.
  • Monitor the labelling process to ensure labels are applied correctly, without errors such as misalignment or incorrect placement.
  • Adjust machine settings for different product types or label specifications.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the labeller.
  • Identify and resolve common equipment malfunctions, such as jams, misfeeds, or errors in label alignment.
  • Perform routine inspections of labelling equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs to the maintenance team.
  • Ensure that the machines are cleaned and lubricated as required.
  • Check labels for accuracy, ensuring they are legible, properly positioned, and meet company standards.
  • Inspect products for any defects, such as damaged labels or missing information.
  • Ensure that all labelling equipment is functioning within specified parameters to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor the speed and efficiency of the labelling process and adjust machinery as needed to meet production targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine performance, including any downtime, repairs, or issues encountered.
  • Communicate any issues with the labelling process to the production supervisor and suggest improvements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and adhere to safety standards when operating labelling equipment.
  • Work closely with other operators, machine technicians, and production staff to ensure the efficient flow of production.
  • Report and escalate any quality or safety concerns immediately.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating KHS, Krones, or similar labelling equipment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in food and beverage packaging, is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of machine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ability to read technical manuals and machine schematics.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong focus on quality control and ensuring accurate label placement and product presentation.
  • Understanding and adherence to health and safety protocols within a production environment.

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and other operators.
