Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Magida’s recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and storing ingredients, and minimizing waste.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours, contributing to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
  • Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are of the highest quality in terms of taste, appearance, and temperature.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume restaurant or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.
