Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Magida’s recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new dishes and update menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering and storing ingredients, and minimizing waste.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours, contributing to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
- Ensure all dishes leaving the kitchen are of the highest quality in terms of taste, appearance, and temperature.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a high-volume restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.
