Job Title: Home Economics Teacher
Location: Ejigbo, Lagos

Reports to: School Principal / Head of Department
Job Summary
- We seek experienced and passionate Home Economics Teachers to join our school team in Ejigbo , Lagos, Nigeria. Successful candidates will teach Home Economics to students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Home Economics to assigned classes.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans, notes and materials.
- Assess student performance, provide feedback and maintain records.
- Encourage critical thinking, cooking, sewing and household management skills.
- Supervise and support students during practical exams and assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum enhancements.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development.
- Maintain a conducive learning environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics, Home Science or a related field.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or Teacher Certification.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in Nigerian schools.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Home Economics curriculum.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
- Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Conduct external examinations (e.g., WAEC, NECO).
- Supervise and monitor examination sessions.
- Ensure examination integrity and security
- Must reside within or in close proximity to Ejigbo
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
