Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Asian, Caribbean, and Continental cuisines and a proven track record in kitchen management, menu development, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Menu Development:

  • Design and update innovative menus featuring a fusion of Asian, Caribbean, and Continental dishes.

Culinary Excellence:

  • Maintain high culinary standards in preparation, presentation, and flavor.
  • Experiment with new recipes and techniques to keep menus contemporary.

Kitchen Management:

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring efficient team coordination.
  • Oversee daily operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and hygiene compliance

Cost Control:

  • Monitor food costs, waste management, and portion control to maximize profitability.
  • Source and negotiate with suppliers for quality ingredients within budget.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure the kitchen meets local and international food safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor HACCP and other safety protocols.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to gather feedback and tailor dishes to guest preferences.
  • Consistently deliver dishes that enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • HND / OND / B.Sc qualification
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years in a professional kitchen, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Culinary Expertise: Exceptional skills in Asian, Caribbean, and Continental cuisines.
  • Education: Formal culinary education or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in modern and traditional cooking techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to mentor and manage a diverse kitchen team.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
