Job Title: Facility Officer

Location: Abraham Adesanya, Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Facilities Officer will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a facility.
  • He/She will ensure that the building, equipment, and systems are functioning properly, and will help maintain a safe, efficient, and pleasant environment for all occupants.
  • The Facilities Officer will assist in the execution of maintenance tasks, vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform or supervise routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairs, and inspections of building systems (e.g. plumbing, electrical).
  • Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in ensuring that the facility complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety checks, and participate in fire drills and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and service delivery (e.g., cleaning, security, landscaping).
  • Ensure that services are provided in accordance with agreed-upon terms.
  • Help with space planning and office reconfigurations, including the management of office layouts, furniture, and equipment. Assist in moves and relocations as required.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of supplies, such as cleaning products, tools, and office equipment.
  • Ensure that stock is replenished in a timely manner.
  • Keep records of maintenance tasks, service requests, inspections, and compliance with regulations. Prepare reports on facility status and any ongoing issues

Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of HND
  • Proven experience in a facilities-related role (e.g., maintenance, custodial services, or building operations).
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations and environmental practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Ability to use basic office equipment and facilities management software.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, Monday through Saturday, during regular business hours
  • May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work depending on the needs of the facility
  • Some physical work may be required, including lifting or carrying supplies and performing minor repairs

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
