Job Title: Facility Maintenance Lead (Manufacturing)

Job Description

  • We are in need of a competent Facility Maintenance Lead to manage the maintenance of our client’s manufacturing facility in Oregun, Lagos State Preferred candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of upkeep and repairs of the; electrical, cooling, plumbing, cleaning, building, machinery and health and safety of the business.
  • He/She must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks and project management are also essential, the goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times.
  • The preferred candidate must be willing to resume on Monday, 16th of December, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
  • Inspect and maintain building systems(heating, ventilation, cooling etc.)
  • Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
  • Participate in the coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as maintenance lead or similar role
  • Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, cooling, etc.). Multi-craft skill is non-negotiable
  • Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
  • Understanding of budgeting and performance management
  • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
  • An eye for detail
  • Computer savvy and very sound with the use of MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BSc/HND in civil engineering, building engineering, electrical, mechanical.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional Certifications (e.g. HSE, HVAC, certified and others) are preferred.
