Job Summary
- The Electrical Maintenance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of electrical systems that power our recycling and production facilities
- The Electrical Maintenance Officer at Freee Recycle Limited will oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical systems and machinery used in recycling and manufacturing operations.
- The role ensures all electrical equipment runs efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting sustainable production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and power distribution networks within the plant.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to minimize production downtime.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and system performance.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with Freee Recycle Limited’s safety standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support for New Equipment:
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and electrical systems.
- Provide technical expertise for upgrades and modifications to existing systems.
Energy Efficiency:
- Identify opportunities for energy savings and implement efficiency improvements in the plant's electrical systems.
Spare Parts and Inventory Management:
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for electrical spare parts and critical components.
- Ensure timely procurement of parts to avoid delays in repairs or maintenance.
Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with the production and engineering teams to address technical challenges.
- Train and guide electricians and junior staff on best practices and safety protocols.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction in machine downtime due to electrical faults.
- Adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Compliance with safety and energy efficiency targets.
- Timely resolution of electrical issues.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or recycling industry.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLCs, control systems, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with recycling equipment (shredders, balers, etc.) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Certifications:
- Valid electrical license and safety certifications are preferred.
