Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with theengineering and project management teams to design renewable energy systemsbased on client specifications and project requirements.
- Develop detailed systemdesigns, including electrical schematics, layouts, and technical drawings,ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform technical analysis todetermine the most cost-effective and efficient design solutions for eachproject.
- Evaluate equipment options andintegrate them into system designs, considering performance, reliability, andcost.
- Develop accurate and detailedcost estimates for renewable energy projects, including capital expenditures(CAPEX), operational costs, and ongoing maintenance expenses.
- Analyze project budgets,identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities, and recommendadjustments.
- Prepare detailed costbreakdowns for materials, labor, and overhead costs associated with theinstallation and commissioning of renewable energy systems.
- Work closely with procurementand supply chain teams to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials andequipment.
- Assist in the preparation ofbids, proposals, and tenders, ensuring the accurate pricing of renewable energyprojects.
- Provide technical supportduring project execution, including troubleshooting design issues andrecommending solutions.
- Assist in the preparation ofproject timelines and resource allocation plans to ensure the timely deliveryof systems.
- Perform ongoing analysis andproject cost reporting, identifying any improvement areas orcost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in project reviewmeetings, providing cost and design insights to optimize project performanceand reduce costs.
- Ensure designs and costestimations comply with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations andindustry standards.
- Contribute to quality controlprocesses to ensure designs meet high standards of reliability, performance,and safety.
- Stay up to date with industrytrends, new technologies, and best practices to incorporate into designs andcost-saving strategies.
- Collaborate withcross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and projectmanagement, to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Communicate designspecifications, cost estimates, and project updates to internal teams andexternal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Physics.
- 2 to 3 years experience within renewable energy, power systems, or related industries.
- Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Working knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g. AutoCAD).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
