Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, driven and entrepreneurial Country Manager to lead our HR Tech startup, which focuses on innovative payroll and workforce management solutions.


The Country Manager will be the face of the company, driving strategic growth through client acquisition, partnerships, and securing venture funding. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business development skills, a deep understanding of the HR/payroll landscape, and the ability to raise capital in a fast-paced startup environment.


Key Responsibilities:

πŸš€ Client Acquisition & Partnerships

● Identify and engage with target clients (SMEs, enterprises, and startups) to promote and sell the payroll solution.

● Establish strategic partnerships with HR consultants, HR SaaS vendors, and business communities.

● Actively represent the company at HR and tech events, networking opportunities, and media appearances.


🧭 Strategic Leadership

● Define the company’s vision, mission, and long-term strategy in alignment with market demands.

● Analyze customer feedback and market trends to guide product development and feature enhancements.

● Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.

● Build and inspire a high-performing team that can scale with the company.

● Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.

● Hire key leadership roles and oversee performance management across departments.

πŸ’Ό Fundraising & Investor Relations

● Develop and execute a fundraising strategy to attract angel investors, venture capital firms, and strategic partners.

● Pitch to investors, manage due diligence, and lead funding negotiations.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with VCs, angel investors, and accelerators.


Requirements:

● Proven experience in leading a tech startup, preferably within SaaS, HR Tech, or payroll.

● Demonstrated success in raising early-stage funding (pre-seed, seed, or Series A).

● Strong B2B sales, networking, and negotiation skills.

● Familiarity with payroll software, HRMS platforms, compliance, and employee management tools.

● Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

● Willingness to have physical meetings with clients.


Nice to Have:

● Existing relationships with investors or VC firms active in tech or fintech.

● Background in human resources, finance, or technology.

● Previous experience as a founder, co-founder, or C-level executive in a startup.
