Role Summary

  • CSR Reporters is seeking a highly skilled and driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our market penetration and client acquisition efforts. This is a hybrid role requiring an individual based in Lagos, Nigeria, as face-to-face client engagement will be essential to success. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the Nigerian business landscape, particularly within sectors involved in CSR and sustainability efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition: Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities, focusing on companies actively involved in CSR initiatives.
  • Market Penetration: Develop and implement strategic plans to increase CSR Reporters’ market reach and brand presence across various industries.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Meet and exceed revenue targets by identifying high-value client segments and tailoring strategies accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with editorial and research teams to ensure alignment of business development activities with company goals.

Ideal Profile
Candidate Requirements

  • Location Requirement: Must be based in Lagos, Nigeria.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably within media, CSR, or a related industry.
  • Skillset: Demonstrated ability to drive results, with strong negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Highly efficient, self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
