Job Title: Business Category Manager - Solar Systems

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Build category and market expertise to identify and exploit opportunities for Pawa and build inventory plans for vendors’ products for solar solutions.
  • Assess large amount of quantitative and qualitative data to make business decisions, monitoring and reporting on key digital and retail metrics including sales, traffic, conversion, inventory volume, return rate and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and develop the relationship with key manufacturer and vendors of solar solutions in line with the category strategy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and merchandizers of solar solutions to expand product category.
  • Make forecasts for demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory.
  • Lead the seller acquisition efforts, specifically lead generation for vendors, installers and 3rd party logistics.
  • Interpret sellers/customers needs and behaviours and use them to get the best /most relevant offer to the buyer.
  • Implement project plans with cross-functional partners such as marketing, operations to launch new initiatives and promote the category through merchandizing site contents, paid ads, events and promotions.
  • Develop expert understanding of Pawa business operations and current strategies and utilize insight to find opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Atleast 5 years of experience in the solar industry.
  • Proven experience in planning, buying, merchandizing, or category management in an online retail or marketplace environment for solar systems. Experience with the solar systems industry is very essential.
  • Broad understanding of the renewable energy sector particularly with solar products; experience in the space and/or relationships with key industry players such as vendors, manufacturers, installers and customers.
  • Demonstrated track record of broad functional abilities with solid understanding of offline and online marketing within the solar industry category and more broadly renewable energy.
  • Ability to target merchandize, appropriate sources of that merchandize and work with manufacturers and vendors of solar products to get it to site quickly.
  • Proximity to Lekki phase 1 is important for ease of commuting.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 per month.
