Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and study construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Perform various construction tasks
  • Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
  • Monitor project progress, identify any potential issues, and recommend solutions to ensure quality and timely completion.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are met.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal building regulations.


Requirements:

  • Minimum academic qualification of a HND in Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Builder or in a similar construction role.
  • ⁠Minimum of (5) years’ experience in a Builder role
  • Experience taking on management of a project start to finish particularly on a large commercial scale will be an added advantage 
  • ⁠Professional certification from the national board/association is preferred 
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Proficient in using construction equipment and hand tools.
  • ⁠Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
