Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including income and expenditures.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable for the school.
  • Process and record all invoices, receipts, and payments in the school’s financial system.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
  • Prepare and generate regular financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Present financial data to school leadership for decision-making purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for school auditors or regulatory authorities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for staff members regarding financial questions or concerns.
  • Communicate with vendors, contractors, and service providers regarding invoices and payments.
  • Assist parents or guardians with billing inquiries, if applicable (e.g., tuition fees, activity fees).

Requirements:

  • OND, HND or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Accountant or Book keeping.
  • Experience in school settings is an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, attention to details, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
  • Must be staying within Abule egba, and it’s environs.
