- Performing routine maintenance checks on biomedical equipment through testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting.
- Analyze failure, corrective and preventive action to respond to maintenance requests.
- Prepares weekly reports by analyzing, collecting and recapping jobs completed and in progress.
- Installing new biomedical equipment and adjusting the device according to medical specifications.
- Training staff members to operate and care for equipment with physical demonstrations and educational presentations.
- Repairing faulty machinery on a routine basis and tending to emergency repairs as needed.
- Keeping a digital record of equipment repairs, faulty components, and recalibrated devices.
- Ensuring that all equipment meets company standards of safety and quality, and is in compliance with relevant laws.
- Support systematic preventive maintenance biomedical instrumentation and equipment program.
- Conduct electrical performance and safety assurance testing on dialysis machines.
- Inform biomedical equipment users and clinical Engineering management on status updates.
- Handle specialized equipment services in laboratory analyzers, laser, ultrasound, ventilators, sterilizers and anesthesia machines.
- Interface with clinical staff to identify and remedy scheduling problems.
Qualification
- Candidates should possess an OND, HND or B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years relevant work experience.
- Strong technological abilities as well as the capacity to fix equipment.
- Strong logical as well as analytical abilities.
- Strong communication skills.
