Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle for both retail and manufacturing operations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
  • Manage inventory accounting and costing for manufacturing operations
  • Process payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory payments
  • Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Company Income Tax)
  • Monitor and record all manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, and overhead
  • Develop and maintain cost accounting systems
  • Create and analyze financial reports for management decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian accounting standards and regulations
  • Supervise junior accounting staff


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, or ICAN)
  • Minimum of 5 years accounting experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software (preferably SAP or Oracle)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
  • Understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality
