We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for supporting and managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Calculation of VAT, PAYE, WHT, Pension and other taxable according to Nigeria law.
  • Ensure effectiveness of Account payable process which includes checking of documents, cost, approvals and payments.
  • To liaise with customers, vendors, bankers, consultants, FIRS/LIRS or other government officials for data and other matters.
  • Responding to requests for information and resolving issues swiftly.
  • Answering client queries on invoicing and visiting clients when required.
  • Following up with payments and bill submission.
  • Provide necessary documentation and support during internal audits.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transaction.
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile.
  • Manage invoices and ensure that payments are made according to the company policies.
  • Experience in vendor management.
  • And any other responsibility delegated by the manager.

Education Qualifications and Experience

  • HND / B.Sc and other certifications and training.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS suit, google suite and other accounting software.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Tech enthusiast.
  • Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines.
