Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process invoices and prepare payments to vendors and suppliers in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and assist with month-end/year-end closing.
- Monitor daily cash flow, process cash receipts, and disbursements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Help prepare financial statements and reports for management, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings, including VAT, sales tax, and other relevant tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with all local accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Process and manage payments for services, products, and other expenses.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies in accounts.
- Follow up on overdue payments and manage collections effectively.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial data within the accounting system.
- Analyze financial trends and performance to support decision-making and reporting.
- Assist in managing financial data for audits, compliance reviews, and internal controls.
- Provide support to the finance team in ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects.
- Assist in improving accounting processes and automation.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of financial data.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
