Job Description

  • The officer will ensure the accuracy of reporting of the Bank’s financial transactions and ensure that business performance information is gathered, analyzed, presented, and submitted in the correct format and within the frames to enable effective decision-making at the executive leadership/management level.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of performance reports and dashboards that support the growth plan.
  • Interpretation, evaluation, and analysis of research and financial data.
  • Designing, implementing, and updating measurement dashboards to track and measure products and services.
  • Measuring Bank’s performance against budgets
  • Reviewing and monitoring operating expenses, deals, and income
  • Tracking of key performance ratios and bench-marking against peers and the industry.
  • Integrity check of data and transactions in the general ledger.
  • Implementation of procedures to monitor and improve performance against KPIs
  • Providing information to Group Heads to aid investment decisions.
  • Detailed business analyses of the SBUs and the branches.
  • Liaising with IT to mine data and automate reports.
  • Delivery of accurate and timely reports for MPR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting and Business related field
  • Professional Qualification in ACCA, ACA, CFA.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Finance, Strategy in a Bank or Financial Institution
  • A Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Mastery of IFRS standards and accounting principles;
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Data management (SQL) skills
