Job Description


  • Partnering with the Creative and Digital teams to deliver a measurable and consistent increase in brand awareness, acquisition, and retention.
  • Managing the overall health of the marketing effort across markets, audiences, and products.
  • Defining the executional strategy of the client’s marketing in East Africa and keeping it culturally and temporally relevant to our ever-expanding target market.
  • Determining the most convenient channel mix given the client’s marketing strategy and objectives, and adjusting it as the business and landscape evolve. Our channel mix must include all possible options, including digital marketing, traditional ATL and BTL, influencers, etc.
  • Overseeing the optimization of the marketing investment given the company’s growth goals.
  • Driving the execution of our marketing effort at both a macro and micro level
  • Directing improvement upon our marketing process and ownership of projects from conception to launch, while tracking their status, dependencies, and blockers.
  • Establishing a framework for evaluating new marketing opportunities and identifying which of those opportunities merit further study and development.
  • Influencing and driving consensus with the company’s leadership team on the direction and requirements of marketing efforts.
  • In broad terms, being the undisputed expert on where the client’s marketing comes from, what/where it is, and where it’s headed in East Africa.


  • Demonstrated passion for crypto/blockchain, finance, and the client’s mission to succeed at the crypto-transformation of Africa.
  • Proven leadership of Marketing teams of at least five people in East Africa.
  • 10+ years of experience in multichannel Marketing Strategy and Execution, with a successful track record of more than one comparable brand in East Africa.
  • 15+ years of personal and/or professional in-depth exposure to East African culture.  
  • Ability to multitask and to manage varied priorities across multiple stakeholders that are geographically dispersed.  
  • You are adaptable to an ever-changing environment and do not shy away from accountability.
  • The passion and energy necessary to breathe continent-spanning life and stability into the client’s brand.
