The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is the official body responsible for evaluating students who want to further their education after secondary school, in Nigeria. Each university has a cut-off mark that candidates have to score above to be eligible for admission into their course of choice. Although the board is not in charge of this examination, the JAMB portal reflects a change in admission status when the candidate has obtained it. JAMB recently launched a policy that all offers for admission must be accepted on JAMB CAPS (CAPS stands for Central Admission Processing System).
