How to Get into a Career in Architecture in Nigeria
1. Get Adequate Training and a Degree
You will be required to obtain a Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited higher institution. Institutions that offer Architectural training are accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board. The training to become an Architect regardless of type takes 5 years. Architects are typically taught project management, environmental planning, and impact analysis, as essential courses in addition to building systems.
2. Build Authority, Get Practical Experience
The digital world offers a wide range of software that is now employed in making architectural designs. You can get on-field experience by familiarizing yourself with those and applying for Industrial Training (IT) opportunities.
